Q How much is high tea at rochelle adonis?
A $49 per person.
Q Can we BYO?
A Yes! You are most welcome to BYO bubbles only [we do not cater to wine or other alcoholic beverage consumption] for a fee of $10 per bottle. You can even drop your bubbles off prior to your booking and we will chill it for you.
Q What is included for the price?
A The $49 per person will get you 2 courses made up of savoury and a sweet course, as well as a palate cleanser. Each course comprises 4 different creations that change daily. The menu on any given day is written by the chef to showcase the best seasonal produce, and house delicacies. The portions are superbly crafted, innovative and generous. Everything we serve is made in our kitchen – we do not buy anything in – we even make our own delicious ice creams, churned to order! We are very proud to offer you a beautiful selection of luxury loose leaf teas by "The Seventh Duchess", and French Press single origin coffee by local roasters, Remedy.
Q How much time should we allow?
A You should allow 1 hour and 45 minutes per sitting for our high tea. This gives us plenty of time to serve you in a timely, yet relaxed fashion, and still have time to ready the dining room for the sitting after yours.
Q When do you serve high tea?
A We serve high tea Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons at 12 noon and 2pm. On Saturdays and Sundays we serve high tea at 10am, 12 noon and 2pm. Bookings are essential!
Q Do you need a booking?
A Absolutely! We are a very small, communal table venue and prepare high tea only for those with confirmed [50% deposit paid] bookings. We cannot cater to unexpected or drop-in guests.
Q How do I make a booking?
A You can ring us at the studio on 08 9227-0007 between the hours of 10am and 4pm Tuesday through Sunday. If we are taking calls on the other line, please leave your details clearly on our message bank service and we will return your call. Please have your credit card handy as we do require a deposit to secure your booking [NB all credit card transaction attract a 2% surcharge].
Q Why do I have to pay a deposit when I book?
A Because when you make a reservation we start preparing especially for you! We do not take any bookings without a 50% deposit. The balance is payable on the day of your booking. Should you need to re-schedule or increase your booking, we will happily do so [subject to availability], however we do not give refunds in the event of cancellation. We have a strict ‘change of booking’ policy, so if you need to adjust the number of people you have booked just inform us 24 hours prior to your booked sitting. If you do not inform us that your numbers are lower than your original booking, we still reserve the right to charge for the balance owing on the original booking made.
Q Can you cater to dietary needs?
A Yes! We can cater to gluten intolerance, vegetarian and pregnancy requirements. We can‘t cater for those with serious nut allergies [we produce a large range of goods containing various nuts, so can not guarantee there would not be traces of nuts found in any given item] or those who are vegan or dairy intolerant.
Q Can I book a private function?
A Yes! Our dining room is ideal for private functions. We can cater to a maximum of 24 seated guests. We offer a $1200 package that gets you our full high tea service for up to 24 guests and exclusive use of our beautiful dining room for duration of approximately 2 hours. Perfect for elegant, sophisticated hen’s parties, baby showers, team building events, birthday or Christmas parties, please ask us about our availability and private use policy. All corkage is also included in this package.
Q What is the maximum number of people you can cater to?
A We have 24 chairs, so that is the maximum number of seated guests we can book. We have one communal table of 20 places, or we can split our tables to create 2 tables of 12.
Q Are you child friendly?
A We do not have high chairs or a lot of room for prams. We do not cater for children differently in our menu planning therefore bookings for children are also $49 per person.
Q Do you have wheelchair access?
A Yes, we do have wheelchair access into the dining room and through to the toilets, however, our tables are bar height and our chairs are actually the height of bar stools. Persons confined to wheelchairs would actually be sitting under the top surface of the tables. We have had to assist the elderly up into the seats.
Q Is it served on tiered cake stands or Royal Albert china?
A No. We have taken many years to collect vintage silver and depression / vintage glass plates, trays and stands. We love them and they make our food look amazing. It is part of the rochelle adonis experience. You’ll notice that all the cutlery is also mismatched silverware!
